Ahoj CZ Family...

This month we welcomed one of my oldest and bestest friends and his family from the Czech Republic for a visit. What a fantastic and uplifting visit it was and a welcome ray of sunshine from the winter blues. They arrived at Manchester airport late Friday night and we rented a holiday cottage in the village so we could stay together and hang out in comfort. Saturday included a trip for the boys to the football to see Burnley smash Preston North End 3-0, with the obligatory pre-game fish and chips, it was a quintessential Saturday afternoon (I think the CZ boys learned some new English words!!)". On Sunday the "kids" (Ted is 17) enjoyed some rock climbing at the leisure centre and then a walk on the promenade in Morecambe. Monday was a trip up to the Lake District and a small hike up Orrest Head for some views over Lake Windermere. Plenty of board games, good food and good company rounded off a brilliant few days...
