Nanna had a girls weekend with Aunty June in Manchester and so we had a weekend with Grandad visiting Hatherthwaite to take the steam train to Lakeside and then catching a lake cruise across Lake Windermere to Bowness for fish and chips (and ice cream for the kids). It was a beautiful dry, crisp, sunny, October day for the Lake District.

LOVE the Lake District so I'm sure you had a fabulous day. You wouldn't believe the weather here.... it's forecast for 27 tomorrow. I can't remember the last time it rained. Between 20-25 every day for the last 3 weeks.
