Josie got the sewing machine out and as normal helped create some magical costumes for the kids at the last minute (Ninja and Witch). Expectations were low given that England celebrates Guy Fawkes and Bonfire night more than it does Halloween and Trick or Treat, also the age demographic in the village doesn't really lend itself to family fun. That said, cometh the hour, cometh the village, and there were lots of trick or treaters on the hunt for the elusive halloween decorations and pumpkins indicating the potential for candy!! The ratio in the village was probably 10% of houses - not the normal Canadian standard of 50%-75% of houses participating but the kids managed a decent haul of candy and fun was had by all...
