Some like it hot!!

It's been over 30 degrees all week and we've been hiding out in the garden (shade and sprinkler) and the beach most of the week, but decided Friday that we should get out and do a day trip before the school holidays disappear. We decided on a trip up to the border and went to the far North West of England to Carlisle to visit the Castle, Hadrian's Wall, and Carlisle Cathedral. Seven-up in the Touran we set off early to try and beat the heat but must admit we melted by mid-afternoon and headed home a few tourist spots shy of a full day out. Lovely City and fabulous lunch at the Last Zebra pub.
